Hey ladies so I am thinking about joining the navy or air force? Do you guys think it will be hard that both of might be in the military? He doesnt want me to go. It sucks because I would need him to sign a paper to let me go because I had to sign a paper to let him go

The Navy is still making changes in this old lady. Since I don't text on my phone I had to download AIM so that I can instant message Devin to his phone. He called a couple times.  We were talking to him on the house phone tonight because his dad and I can both talk/listen at the same time and after an hour I had to remind him that he doesn't have unlimited minutes to call the house phone until after 2100...which is too late for him to call.  He has to call the c,ell for unlimited minutes  I am much more relaxed now that he is only 55 miles away, can call and text.  He bought a lap top which should be there next week and then we can Skype.  I left the house for three hours today and forgot my cell...first time in months.  LOL....and when I realized it I didn't come rushing home to get it!  Life is feeling a little more normal again.

Carri, Trav is making me bring his fishing pole haha. I will be up in Charleston next week. How is everyone adjusting to being able to talk to them? I am forgetting to get my phone sometimes haha.

Carri:  Sounds like he is waiting to class-up too!  Fishing for your's and X-games for mine....hmmmmm sounds like fun to me.  Want to enlist? Nahhhh, I'll stick with dishes, laundry, and housework....I'd never make it through boot camp....even if I were 25 years younger!  They deserve a little fun.

Okay, So maybe waiting to class-up isn't so bad.  He's going to the X-games Saturday with a group of Sailors/Seabees.  How cool is that!  Now that is liberty he will really enjoy!

ufq202 My son is also in San Antonio.  I didn't get to go to graduation but was surprised that instead of staying a GL for A school he went to San Antonio.  So in the end I got to see him Saturday at DFW ro 15 minutes.  He looked so handsome in his uniform.  I looked at the pics but didn't see him.  He said that he and the guys went to Walmart Tuesday and then to Panda Express.  I think he is coming out of the fog in was in at BC.

UF: when do you go back?  This friday?

My son is also waiting to class-up.  He is first one for his class at Port Hueneme.  Joked that he is the "class leader".  Leads himself.  Airforce has classes w/them so hopefully they are sending a group next week because I've only found one other Sailor going this coming week

I had so much fun last week I'm going back. Yep I want to see the young lady graduate that I helped get ready for the PFA and for boot camp. I will be driving back with her Mom and boyfriend. We just got home yesterday and I did laundry all day and just got done packing. My son said they have pushed back the start of corps school in San Antonio and have already gotten in trouble because the Army doesn't like the way the Navy marches. I'll check back and let you know how it goes.

LOL, I don't text.  I am in the process of trying to set up an aim account so that I will be able to text my son from there.  I was just about to try it when I came here.  If it works I will give you my email address and I'll be able to text you from there

I heard a lot of drama can be started there and we decided to leave our pasts behind us for a good marriage. Do you have a cell phone I can send you my number and then can always text?
