Has anyone ever stayed at the Navy Gateway Inn?  Or does anyone know anything about it.  We have reservations there - just wondering about that one.

Stay close to the base, not Ohare.  We stayed at Residence Inn Waukegan.  Great.

Where are the best places to stay? I am looking online and can't decide if I should stay closer to base or O'Hare?  Help please :)

I checked with Angie who works on A School base....she didn't know about guest passes from hotels for the NEX off base, but said that without ID, you can only go to the Navy Pride Shop part of NEX.

Lala, I do like the ribbons, they are very nice! Thank you again. 2 more weeks then we can wear them with pride!!!
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on July 7, 2011 at 7:30pm

I think you can get one from any hotel. We didn't know about them and I went into the NEX to see if you had to have military ID to by gas and they said yes and then she asked if we were there for PIR and I told her we were and she is the one who said we could get a pass to shop at the NEX from our hotel. She didn't even ask which hotel we were staying at. Then she actually let me get gas and the other things we needed without going after a pass. She was very nice.

You are very welcome Tina, I am so glad your ribbons arrived. I hope you like them :-)
