Terrysproudmom:  Yes the RTC NEX is packed after PIR...better to go to the one off base which is very close.  Yes, with your sailor, you can go to that one.

The other NEX is much larger than the RTC one so I'm assuming that they would have everything...and more.  Best thing to do is to ask one of the sailors working on the base (like the security personnel) about it on PIR day.  They would know.

I am not sure what to bring Travis. I only can laugh. He wants to see me. He said that is enough of a present.

I think I read too that there is no sales tax at the NEX also.  Diannep.  I've heard that the NEX at RTC is very busy the day of PIR.  Is the one in the town close and available to us (w/sailor) on the day of PIR.  I want as much time as possible with my son and would rather not spend the time shopping.  Also what he saw there on base would it be a sure thing that it would be at the other NEX?

Comment by diannep on July 6, 2011 at 1:47pm
...Oh, I should say that the NEX has everything you could ever want...electronicis, jewelry, clothing, etc.
Comment by diannep on July 6, 2011 at 1:47pm
The NEX is the Navy Exchange.  There is one on every base.  RTC has one, Great Lakes A School base has one, and there is one in the city there.  You can only go there with your sailor.  Prices are good.

What and where is the Nex?
