Terrysproudmom:  My son set up a NavyFed account and he is older (i.e., didn't want "mom" involved!), so even though his statements were sent here, I never opened them.  I know he went to bootcamp in Nov and received his first pay the first part of Jan, because he told me that.  Said it did include all pay back to beginning of boot....but takes 3 weeks or so to get processed to go into the bank accounts.  Plus...he had Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in there so that may have slowed his 1st deposit down a bit.  But we are told that all are paid as E-1's during boot, no matter what their rate, but the pay is "made up" to them after boot.  Again, only saying what I have researched...

Thanks fireteamleaderwife!  I thought they wouldn't get their first pay until after they PIRed.  Good to know

All military receive their regular pay on the 1st and the15th (if those days fall on a weekend or hoilday they are paid on the business day preceeding it.)

I can assure you all that these last few weeks will be much better than the first few were.  They are getting into the homestretch!

Terry that does sound like fun and growing together.  I do hope this next three weeks fly and my son does too!

What I liked about my sons letter is that it sounds like they are starting to have some fun both on the job and pranks they are playing on each other.  The RDC's punished the pranks but they all stood together and took the punishment together.  The team trust has been built!

Keeping all our SR's in my prayers.  This three weeks should be easier and more fun for them, but it is still work!
