Hi all, Wednesday is Christmas for me every week...letter he started last Tuesday and finished on Thursday --said they finally are able to start writing on Tues and Thurs as well as Sundays. Said he started letter on Tuesday, but had to stop cuz they had a tornado warning and the power cut out. Said on Fri they were having 2 inspections and another PTA. Said they did their Marlinspike on Thurs -- this is where they are on their "mock ship" learning line handling...he said he enjoyed it because he was the Boatswain Mate which is the one who stands on the boat deck and yells stuff to the other SR's..he said it was cool because he was aloud to use "sentence enhancers" (that's curse words in Spongebob lingo -- per my daughter). So he ended each thing he yelled with mother f@@@ers at the end of every command and did not "get in trouble" lol. Said they haven't been getting yelled out very much because they are doing pretty good. Only bad thing is that he has been sick, so was waiting to go to medical until after his inspections and PTA because he knew they would probably restrict him and he didn't want to miss anything and take a chance of being set back.

Havent been on here for a few days my husbands letter told me they are going to be real busy this week and that sunday they didnt get much time to write because they had a lot to iron and stuff. I got all 4 of my wisdom taken out 2 days ago everyone tells me to rest but I cant not do anything or else I get all sad. Anyone get letters and what did your SR's say?

Thank you Diannep.  True, whatever he is not able to have I will bring it back.  I will ask him.

Tina:  You should be able to bring his cell, laptop, ipod, etc...and just a few civilian clothes for when he phases up at A School.  I would ask him what he wants and since he will probably move over there before you all head back home from PIR, if there is anything you brought that he cannot have, you can take it home.

Good advice about the camera.  I got a new one in early May and took it to my other son's law school grad....Hadn't played with it, thought it was enough like my old camera.  Wrong, wrong, wrong.  All pictures inside were orange.  Luckily my sister-in-law got some.  Practice ladies!

It's soooo hard to tell...Terry-hee,hee-I like that!

I didn't take a lot of pics at PIR, but one that I did get was of my DIV going by. To my surprise two weeks later when I was posting it on here I saw my Sailor! I had made it full screen and could make him out! It's kinda dark and I didn't experiment with my camera beforehand...so that IS advice...try out your camera!
