Does anyone know how to get and extra ticket to graduation? I have 2 sets of grandparents who what to go to graduation. Any advise how I get a total of 5 tickets?
Glad you are better, Lala.
Ladies, usually they are not allowed to write for about 2 weeks...sometimes maybe a bit earlier....many times by the time they do write, they haven't received your letters yet...the letters may be there, but still held from them....but during the time their letter to you is in transit, they could receive your letters. So don't be surprised if you get something in their letter to you saying: Why haven't you written?
HA! Don't panic. Happens all the time and most times, you find out that letters were delivered to them after they had written your letter.
nicole: If he just arrived the 6th, then he may just be getting out of processing days. Processing days can go for a week to sometimes two weeks. They have to "fill up" the divisions too...just because your SR arrived earlier than another one on here doesn't mean that they will start training first. Divisions in the same PIR group start training on different days....brother divisions will train together. All divisions should start training within about 5 days of each other, and that allows them to graduate together.
Brother divisions in this group are:
235+236, 237+238, 239+240, 241+242
Hope letters come to the upper West Coast too!! Here's to crossing my fingers and watching for the mail carrier!!! :D
I am feeling better Diannep thanks, and I am now taking antibiotics for my sinuses.
Whitemountain- they don't pull everyones wisdom teeth but they do pull a lot of them. If they look like they will be a problem at all in the future they take them out. Much better to do it now than to have a problem with them while out on a ship or tour.
And, it is a great idea to send that envelope with a few stamps on it to send home all her letters. And your regular letters and cards don't have to be in plain white envelopes. I know several on here suggest it. I think a recruit got razzed over a pretty colorful envelope with drawings or stickers on the back but most of the RDC's don't say anything about colored envelopes at all. All of my envelope were colored, they had a watermark American Flag that covered the whole envelope. And my daughter/Sailor sent pretty envelopes to her boyfriend (now husband) while he was at bootcamp and she put stickers on the back and drew little hearts on them lol. She said if he got razzed about them it would be fine, he needed to be NAVY tough lol, I think she was a little disappointed that no one gave him a hard time about them :-)
And later, closer to PIR you can also send contacts and a small bottle of solution for them to have for pics and PIR and some of the females will even have you send them some basic make-up and even a hair straightener :-) Of course for pics and PIR use only.
strawberry...do they pull everyone's wisdom teeth? She didn't mention it...but we didn't have much time...
