Ok, fireteamleaderwife:  You taught me something...I wasn't the one who said their division goes with them through life because it is stenciled inside their hat!  Had no CLUE!  See?  We all learn something new everyday!    Thanks!  :-)

Yes you need the division.  I copied and pasted the address off the RTC site, so it should be correct.

I see that you have also started your Divisional discussions! Yay! Bond up there with the rest of your divisional family BUT don't forget to stay on the Main Group. We veterns spend most of our time on the Main Group. So please post your questions here. Just hard to hop around that much!

Think of it as kinda like what your SR is doing. They have DIV and then there are squads within that! I remember dianne telling us that the DIV # stays with them for their career. It gets stenciled inside their Sailor hat ( I saw my Sailors...one of the first things I asked about!)

Here is how your SR address will look. Your form letter will show this with the exact info. If you have not received it yet you can call their recruiter. Mine sent it to me via email before the form letter arrived but had left out RTC and there was something else...can't remember...so I ended up waiting. So that would be a caution there.

The address numbers generally make up the last four of the zip.

There are a few places on here that tell all of the ship addresses but I (me personally-not the poster of it) am not sure how up to date it is. 

You can still start writing though...if they get them in a big ol pile it is like Happy Birthday to ME!

SR LASTNAME, FIRST NAME MI.
SHIP XXX DIV XXX
RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND

ssend it exactly to the address his dad has. It will get to him from there. May take a little longer if it is wrong but they had him listed under than and if you go under some other address it may not get there

And a girl just called somewhere and told me that the 3156 is a error or something of that sort that its suppose to be 7156??? Im so confussed now Idk what to put on the envelop :(

Oh your fine its not rude, somebody told me that their temporary address should be 7015....will my SR still get my letters if I write to the address you gave me? Because his dad told me it was 7156 but like the site said and u just stated, its 3156.
