hello all you new Navy Mommas!!!  so you have survived the first week!!!  hang in there....the letters and calls will come.  not as often as you like but they will come! there's a quote on here from 2008 "mail call is like the ice cream truck just arrived at the park on a very hot day".  Summer is fast approaching....send your SR a "popsicle" in the form of a letter as often as you can : ) even if you SR isn't a writer...keep writing to them. btw i feel like i "survived" BC too!  my Airman will be joining the fleet in a couple of months...he's still in school in Va.

hey Lala and DianneP-fancy seeing you two here : )

I remember waiting on that form letter. I didn't think it was ever gonna come. And one mom hadn't received hers after 3 weeks and had given up that it would ever come and found it had been left on the porch by the front door, Lol they never use that door because they go in through the garage :-)

Here are a couple of pics from last year in July that I thought you all may want to see. They used Sailors from the bases in Great Lakes to make the Human Flag. It is so beautiful, I just loved it.

I didn't want to call the recruiter.  I am hoping to get the letter for ship/div but it didn't come today.

I took the whole sequence... removing 1 piece at a time.  When I got to the bottom the pant legs were not still rolled up!
