Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Venting is our middle name on this site, TJRsProudMom! :-) Wasn't saying YOU would ask....just want to make sure others know that they should not. In another PIR group recently, someone posted that they were going to post on the RTC FB page and ask if they could post piks of Div ____. Just wanted to make sure all here know that is a NO NO!

diannep - oh, I know... and I wouldn't even consider asking for pics - I wouldn't want to take a chance of anything coming back to cause trouble for my SR. I just don't have any other place where I can vent about it! LOL!

Good morning everyone, 19 more days, I love this count down clock, I seem to be a day off all the time :-} I am fairly new to this site, I read a lot of the comments and I want you all to know I LOVE this N4M website, just reading everyone puts on here helps so much!!! Thank you all...

TJR'sProudMom: I know it is hard....but RTC is adamant that no one request piks of any division (not saying that you have!)....they just randomly send out their photographers and get what they get! At least with no piks for a while, you can't do what I did when my son was there....thought I saw him in one of the piks, printed it out, emailed it to family/friends too, only to have him at PIR say: Mom, this is not ME! Oooops! This guy could have been his twin! So many look alike with their same attire and shaved heads! :-)

I'm going through withdrawals here! I keep looking for the random Recruit pics on the RTC Facebook page and keep coming up empty! Boy, I hope they post some more soon - we miss combing through them for a glimpse of our SR (no, we haven't found him yet!). It's always a long shot, but we'll take any chance we can get at this point - yes, PIR is only 21 days away, but it's been 33 since he left. I would be one happy Mama if we found him in just one of the pics!
