JennBlue:  The radius they must stay in, I believe, is 50 miles so stop just a bit short of Milwaukee and you are good!  Yes, I would stay away from Chicago if that festival is going on.  No one wants to be late returning their sailors!  Big Trouble for that!

We actually headed up that way when up there and enjoyed looking around in Wisconsin!   I would not count on the sailors' flight schedules being delayed until Monday.  What happened last weekend was highly unusual.  They normally will head out Sat or Sun....but we can always hope!  It would be great for families to have extra time with their sailors!

We are considering taking the train to the city. At least to the Navy Pier...

Jennblue- we took a screen shot to send back to friends in Seattle. It showed 58 mins to go 11 miles this morning. We were trying to do a reconnaissance trip downtown for tomorrow. Coming back to Great Lakes was an hour extra longer than expected tonight. Sadly, we will not be going DT tomorrow. Drive safe-it's pretty hectic out there.

So,we are driving to our sons PIR right now (yippee)and we just found out that the big music festival Lallapaloza is happening this weekend in downtown Chicago. It is said to bring Millions of people to downtown. Also My mom rode from the airpot with Sarge this afternoon and he said last weekends Saliors headed to Pensacola for A school left on Monday, with orders, because of flight schedules. Thought that might be helpful to some with PIR this weekend, but I also have a question. If we do get to be with our son on Saturday or Sunday is Milwaukee to far for us to go? I haven't seen anything on this. It is about 53 miles away. We don't want to get him in trouble of course but I think Chicogo will not be possible and that seemed within his bounds. Thoughts?

Susan:  Will look forward to seeing you in the 8/14 group!

Good Morning to All !

Safe travel to GL.  Enjoy Sarge's MeetandGreet tonight....be early to PIR tomorrow.  If you are driving to PIR, here's a hint:  Stay to the left on Buckley, car line to RTC on your right, and bypass RTC.  Turn around at the train station right past RTC and head back from opposite direction.  Easy left turn onto RTC, no wait!  Enjoy!

....as far as weekend Liberty in A School, they do once they phase up....but they have a radius they must stay in.
