I have a question, is anyone having trouble connecting to this site through their internet provider? I am, and they can't figure out why, however if I disconnect all my iPhone and iPad I get on through my cellular data. This just started last night when I tried to get on at home.

Lauryn,

Please contact the Public Affairs Office at 847-578-6205.  You should have received that important Honor Recruit letter by now.  Usually there is a special ceremony for those families that happens before PIR and you sit in the area by the officers.  Let them know that you haven't received the letter yet and need to know what to do~~

Hi all! So my recruit told me that he was chosen as the honor recruit, and that I should get a letter with instructions for the ceremony. I haven't received a letter and when I spoke with him yesterday he said that he was still the honor recruit! Any ideas what I should do

Erica,

I think it could be anytime during the day, but my Sailor daughter's flight left at 10:30 am from Midway Airport. in March 2013.  It just depends on how many seats there are on a flight that can accommodate all the Sailors going to the same destnation.

You could try asking the "Sailors in Pensacola, FL for A school....Corry Station too" group to see what time and from which airport the Sailors have been departing from.  Flights leave from both O'Hare and Midway..

CONGRATULATIONS to all the new Sailors and their families!! Safe travels to all to an awesome PIR!!

Remember, PIR is just the beginning of the Navy journey. Keep plugged into Navy for Moms where there are groups for A school, C school, ratings (jobs), bases, ships, states, regional, twins and multiples, and the "Christian Navy Moms" that I am a part of!

Also, the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command page on Facebook puts up photos from each PIR. If you see your Sailor in a pic or more, you can download it to your own computer by either clicking on the picture, going down to Options and downloading it OR right click, "Save Picture As" to a file on your computer~~
