OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

^^^^Ladies, we can no longer post BattleStations dates on N4Moms.  I have sent out the schedule I have using the "Send Message to Group" prompt.  If anyone didn't receive it, let me know.  "Private message" any dates to the group if you hear of changes.

BS  I believe my daughter said her BS starts this Wed, not 100% sure...Kathy
No, it would not be this Wed.  The 8/5 group won't start their BattleStations until next Thurs night most likely...7/28.  But most of them will be during PIR week.
Thanks for the input we'll have to be on the lookout for one another, thanks for the support!!
Great to have that confirmation Bobbie, tuesday night untill wed morning is what the schedule said too, but I appreciate you confirming that w/ me. Gosh this is nerve racking though, imagine how they feel, all prayers and best thoughts to our SR's!!!!
My son - another 249'r.  It's totally nerve racking.  We fly out on the 4th as well.  All we can do is...nothing.  Yea, like Moms can do that!
I sure wish my SR would call like now...lol... It is pretty SCARY that they have BS21  so close to the PIR date.. Prayers for all our SR's during this time..
theraysmom:  The I'm a Sailor calls usually start coming in around 2 pm GL time...sometimes a bit before, and they can go for a good while.  Phones ready all day long!  Have you read the link at the top of this page?  Just click on it as it might answer alot of your questions.  But ask again if it doesn't!
