~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Lala,

I was just thinking of the closeness in age of the Ramirez baby and Eastyn!  New parents need to be aware of just how mobile and strong a baby is in the crawling/beginning to walk stage.  And they are top heavy too, so losing their balance is easier...

Prayers for that family and hope their friends can help them in some way~~

So true Dianne, Their little girl was almost the exact same age as Eastyn and my daughter and SIL are in the same group of friends with this young couple. It is just so tragic and my heart truly hurts for them.

Im so glad that you got a call. I will be even more diligent to keep my phone close to me! I hope to get a call too :) I hope your son feels better soon!

Got a call~ Yea, so much better than Sunday, he had called, and said he had a really sore throat, then my stupid cell phone dropped the call (and of course he didn't call back), but today he sounded much, much better....

Lala, that is so awful....my heart hurts for the family.  Prayers for them.  I know you will hold your granddaughter extra tight when they arrive...

Good Morning All.

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on July 9, 2014 at 9:22am

Good morning navy family. I am asking for prayers for a Navy family in San Diego. They lost their 11 month old baby girl in a horrible accident on Monday evening when she fell out of a 3rd floor window at their town house. It is hot there and most places do not have AC so windows are often left open. Apartments and town homes are small so beds and cribs are often placed in front of a window. It doesn't take much at all for a child to fall against a screen and then fall out the window. If you have family or friends who live off the ground floor and keep their windows open please let them know how dangerous this can be.This was a very sad and preventable accident. My heart breaks for this little angels family :( Thanks so much for your prayers for the Ramirez family <3

Thanks Diannep and Catmom, they are not in NC yet. They arrive next week. I am in FL and I wish they were with me here <3

Awww, Lala.  So sweet.  Sad when the baby days go by so quickly!  Are they with you now?  I remember you saying that they would be home for her first birthday!

Good Afternoon Everyone!
