Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 293 and 294
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Hi everyone. I am new to this too. I have a son on Ship 14 Div 294 also. Finally received a call from him Saturday. He sounded good! I asked if he had gotten any of our letters, and he said no. He said their mail day is Monday so I am hopeful that means he will get some of our mail tomorrow. Short call, less than 10 minutes, but just great to hear his voice. I asked if it was true about the whitey tighties and he said yes. Ha! He hasn't worn those since elementary school. Hang in, hope everyone else is starting to get calls.
Hi..I'm in Lawton, OK.. My daughter left for boot camp June 17th Been struggling with her being gone since she is my only daughter and the youngest of three. Though it has been a busy last couple of months.... Her graduating high school, then she turned 18th and then she left for boot camp.. So looking forward to seeing her in August though. But I was wondering, is there a site for customize t-shirts with their division logo or a site to make custom t-shirts without costing fortune due to the fact I'm not going to buy 25+ shirts. My oldest son graduated from BMT (Air Force) in February and they had a site that you can customize shirts so I was hoping the Navy might have one too. But I figure I'm having struggles because my son is just home from his Tech School for a few more days and then he is leaving for England. (Great first duty station). But any info on the t-shirts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
don't see anything for 293
My son is SHIP 14 DIV 293 with PIR on 09AUG13 and is allowed 4 guests. That's what he listed on his form letter; 4 family members.
The title of this blog reads "Each recruit will be permitted 3 guests"
Any idea why the misinformation?
Will he or does my son already know so he can communicate to us ahead of time to let us know who's off the list? We're only coming up from StL but still it's a lot to ask of the odd man out to get there only to be refused admission...
Oh I hear you. We're not going to stress him out over it. We all 4 get along well enough and would gladly give up our spot just to save him the stress of having to choose which one of us to give the boot! lol I'm glad they will be streaming it live. I read about that happening elsewhere on this site and wasn't sure if it was standard to stream the PIR's live or just on special occasions.
Thanks again!!
they changed the rule. so many graduating
I'm assuming that the post means they finally received their mail?
Thanks for the info by the way. This site has been very, VeRy helpful. ;)
Hi my son on on ship 14 div 294 i see there is a pattern of no letters or calls which make me feel a little better but i would love to hear his voice or at leat a letter. I have written several letters hopefully he has received them can't wait until 08/09/2013 - my question has anyone parent of a child on ship 14 div 294 received the form letter yet.
I got the form letter about two weeks ago, and my son's first letter last Wednesday. I really thought receiving his letter last Wednesday would open the flood gates to some letters, but after checking the mail today...no luck :/ I remember when Garrett was in BC...I stalked the post lady every Thursday (that was the day I received his first and every letter after that). I hope there's a schedule for Luke's letters. It will give me something to look forward to, as well as let me know he's getting the mail I'm sending him.
