OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

ty'smom:  Yes, last week should have been Hell Week (training week 4) for this PIR group.  Some divisions have just finished week 5 and others are almost finished.  BattleStations for this PIR group start later next week.  A reminder that we cannot post dates for BattleStations if you received one from your SR.  But you can post on here that you have a BattleStations date for Div ___ and ask that others friend request you for it.  RTC has asked us to no longer post these publicly (same for FB).

Peggy:  Some of the RDCs use "negative motivation."  Yes, a conflict in terminology for sure, but many use this.  Not saying I agree with it, but who asks me?  HA!  I hope that their new RDC helps them to the finish line.  They are so close!

Good Morning All !

Peggy, I guess that is why my SR was so down on her call on the 11th.  Guess I will burn my candle tonite after work and say lots of prayers for our SRs.  Perhaps this is the reason shy it was so difficult for them to "get it together"?

ProudNavyMom287,

That's really sweet that the other SR took the time to personally write you!!  Warms my heart!!  His momma taught him right~~

Peggy,

Your daughter is almost done!!  I'm sure her next letter will be better, especially with that RDC being replaced.  With the amount of recruits that need to be trained and immature attitudes from many, we don't know how many years that RDC was assigned to the RTC, but there's a limit for everybody.  Just need to give him some grace.  Hopefully the atmosphere for the recruits and the other RDCs will be much more positive now~~

Lala,

So glad to hear that your daughter, baby Eastyn, and your mom are all doing fine!!

Jealous of the letters today, but glad everyone seems to be doing well and getting excited for PIR. They're on the downhill slide now! In the last letter I received, he asked me to send an envelope for him to send letters home because he's out of room. I thought I would get them yesterday, but nope. I guess he may not have gotten my envelope until Monday so will have to wait another week I guess.

I received a letter from my SR today also.  Seems runny noses, coughs, and pink eye are going around hot and heavy.  I believe last week was Hell Week, not positive but I need to remind him to date these letters lol.  He sounds good and is getting very excited about PIR.

Received a letter from my son today. He is doing well and thrilled to be there. Also received a very nice letter from another SR who told us that he and my son have become great friends and that my son has been keeping him motivated. Sounds like a very nice young man and I hope to meet his family at PIR. Of course I cannot publish their names here!

Thanks so much everyone. Mommy and baby are still doing great :) My mom has pneumonia and is still in ICU but my hubby says she looks much better this evening and I was able to talk to her on the phone. We sent lots of pics of the new baby to her and she is loving them :)
