Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hi all!!! here we go we get to form new bonds and relationships so excited!!!!! my daughter is on ship 02 div. 940 which I believe is a performing division. even thoug I am a veteran I don't know anything about how the performing divisions work so I could use some help please!!! anyone else have a daughter/son on ship -2 div 940???

Publichealthgal. You get to stay at Navy Lodge courtesy of your SR! Book in your SR's name. Call the Lodge directly for reservations....sometimes online will show no availability but when you call, they sometimes have rooms. The rates are very good and we hear nice reports on the friendliness of the staff, etc. Good luck!

Can anyone go to the Navy Lodge, or is it just for active duty and retirees? I'm over at the Mariott and it's a wee bit expensive. I'm also in Ship 13 Div 250.

Sounds great Babs, My husband and I will be driving our suv from Alabama to GL. It's not a big suv but it will seat 5 adults. I'm going to start working on my Door Decoration over the next month. YEAH

All of us at the lodge should meet and share a ride to the meet and greet....I won't have a car since I'll be flying in, anyone else up for that?
