Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 301 and 302

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son's letter also said how well they did on Marlinspike. Im so proud of them all! He said they are really coming together and working as a team. I was hoping they would get phone calls yesterday as a reward but no such luck. Oh well, only 18 days to go till we can see them. My son said their instructor was very impressed with their performance and he mentioned something about a captain's cup. Wouldn't that be amazing?! 3 more weeks!

This letter sounded better to me too!  He finally gave up and just wrote answers on one of the letters I had sent him.  It was a fun letter.  I had mentioned that someone in the division got a call on a Sunday, but I had received my SR;s call on Saturday so I assumed it was a make up call.  He asked if the last name started with "C".  ( He said the name but I won't post it here) and that the kid had been lucky and got an hour long call!  Lucky mom!  I had sent him a large brown envelope and he sent it back stuffed with letters that were taking up too much space.  Today was a good day for me as it was only the third letter I have received and I was feeling like I was sending messages in bottles out into the sea!  Hope you all had good news as well.

shello63  That's funny that your SR responded like that cause last week I sent a page titled "Mom's Questionnaire" .  I asked questions and put a blank beside them.  That way he can fill in the blanks and just mail back.   Question, how did you mail the large brown envelope and what about postage when they mail it back?

JenM....He had added a TON of stamps to the envelope I sent, so not sure what was up with that.  LOL  I had sent a new book of stamps along with the brown envelope in case he had run out and I guess he used them to ensure the package got back to me.  What I did was to put MY address label as the sender and his address label as the return.  It fit perfectly, folded in thirds, in a letter sized envelope.  (you know the standard white, business envelopes.  I have used those so his letters wouldn't "stand out".)  I folded the brown one up really tightly so that it didn't seem thick.  Worked perfectly!  He did ask for me to send him some of HIS labels so that he wouldn't have to write his address every time.  In that letter, I said at the end that I was just going to send a questionnaire in the next letter and he made a little note that he had already started answering before he read that.  LOL.  I am going to encourage him to write back like that again!  It was like having a conversation with him....he is a really funny kid and it really reassured me that he was "himself".

shello63  Thanks for the tip.  I just sent off the large envelope and postage.  And I agree on receiving the letters from them.  I can tell by my SR's letters that he is doing well.  Lots of humor injected in his letters so I know his spirits are good.

"Does anyone know what week / day they are on (Ship 9 / Div 302). I know its getting close.Would like some ideas on what everybody has lined up for after PIR also looking for Sarges website to contact him for transportation.I have recieved letters and it has been a while since I have talked to Sr and wondering how they are doing as a division.
Thanks
Keefa
