Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

We made it home in time to watch the fireworks from our front porch because they were rained out on Thursday. Living in town has its perks :) It will be so good to sleep in my own bed tonight.
Congrats on all the calls :)
Lots of prayers for the SRs as they go into their tests!
TNavyDad: Yes, no worries. When they change ships like that, they forward the mail to them.
Here is the official word from RTC:
He probably was misinformed by his RDC. There are actually no tickets....they just go by the names on the list. They are only allowed 3 guests since there are 13 divisions in this PIR group.
My boy called today <3 , so happy . they changed his ship to 14 div 307 but he was told they will forward there letter to them to the new ship .. he gets to start sending letter tomorrow. he said he feel like a robot but the training was pretty easy. its the talking about being away from home that is hard. miss him so much. happy tears.....

.
Got a call from my son today. They changed his ship after he sent us his form letter with a different ship number! Of course I have already emailed all his friends and family his "old" ship number and I'm sure they, like us, have sent letters already to the address we had.
My question, and prayer, is that the Navy WILL forward his mail to him!!!???
I got a call today!!!! Yeah!!! It was so good to hear my daughters voice. She is a lot homesick but other than that she sounds good. I am so proud of her. I feel so much better after talking to her. Made my day!
