N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Although I don't think anyone will fly out the night of PIR, they may be bussed late that night/early the next morning to the airports to wait for their flights on Saturday.  Families can meet their sailors at the airports then and wait with them, giving them personal items that they may have requested.  By taking ID with you to the airports, you can obtain a gate pass and wait until your sailor departs.

Great day here for all us of us moms!!!! I also got a phone call.  Made my day!! He said he was doing good, gained 10 pounds, which is great cause we were fighting to make weight.  Said he was like it, other than fighting the allergires, weather was cold, compared to the Texas heat!!! He is also getting his wisdom teeth pulled next week.  Said he can only write on Sundays so send his friends his address.  Can't wait to hear from him again.  Took alot of weight off my shoulders, I know he is doing good, he likes it, and is ok.  I miss him soooo much!!!!

Margavant28, my son is in the nuke program too. He is ship2, div 940, performing div. So they might fly out the same night as graduation, so we won't have much time with him:( no call yet, we got his form letter today with a handwritten note, heartwarming.

I got a call from my son this morning. He sounded great. He told me things were going good, that he was working hard and that he only had 10. I thought great better than the 25 seconds the first call lasted. He asked to talk to his dad and his brothers. I got the phone back and he said gotta go, love you I'm going to call my girlfriend. Lol so much for getting information from him. Lol. Guess he only had 10 mins total. Lol can't wait for the next call. Maybe ill get a little more time

StephMc1108, my son is having all four wisdom teeth pulled. Poor kids. My son also sounded great. He mentioned his bunkmate. He said they have watch together tonight. Said he has a close group of friends. Great day for us moms!
