Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi! Someone said they were brother divisions. So they may be doing alot of the same things! My daughter called last Sunday but I haven't heard anything since, except for the form letter.

Joanie - Would you like to add 249 to the title of the Discussion? They are Brother Divisions and train together...they will also do Battlestations together as a result.
To add it go to the top right of the discussion and click "Options" from the drop down list click "Edit Discussion". Add 249 to the title and click "Save" at the bottom right of the Discussion

My daughter is the yeoman for ship 11 div 249. According to her letter, there are 89 recruits in this division.

I still haven't heard anything from my daughter. ship 11 div 250. Idk what a yeoman is?

A yeoman is the one who handles the administrative and clerical duties.
These are their duties while in BC:
Recruit Yeoman (YN) (RPO1)
The Recruit YN is responsible to RDCs for:
- Performing general clerical duties in the division and assisting RDCs with preparation and maintenance of divisional reports, records, class attendance rosters, mail pick-up and distribution.
- Coordinating with the Medical YN, Education Petty Officer, Athletic Petty Officer and Religious Petty Officer to ensure compliance with special schedule events.
- Attending the Mail Orderly, Medical/Dental, BMO/Testing and Physical Fitness Testing briefings.

Mind is still 17, she wont be 18 still July 26! She just graduated highschool on May 11. Is yours div 249 or 250?

DIV 249 other than that I have no idea what she is doing as I have recevied no letters other than the one on the back of the form letter. I am hoping we will get phone calls from them this Sunday!!

My son is in Ship 11 div 249. Just got a 25 min called he said that was earned. How wonderful to hear his voice! He says he so enjoys mail. He says he having trouble with his swim test. Of course he was born and raised in Oklahoma. He has not spent much time swimming.But he's smart and I know he will catch on.
