I'm very crafty and have pay pal and was thinking of making ribbons for everyone if you send me like a dollar per ribbon you needed. I'd need to start pretty soon, and if their PIR changes, I'm willing to mail them.

My boyfriend is Ship 11 Division 252. I already have my airplane tickets, and have yet to get a hotel room. His recruiter told me it's safe to buy the tickets now because there is as much chance now of failing as week 8 when they hit battle station's.

So if you want one, get in contact with me and I'll get it rolling.

thank you! :D

I am so happy today I got my first letter from my son. It was very positive. He did say there division was having some teamwork issues so they get   I. T. all the time. He also said he passed the swim test no prob. but disappointed they were only in the water one day . He said  the workouts are easy for him. So to the moms who have not gotten there letters you will be getting them any time now so being looking in your mailboxes!!!!!

Yea, my SR said they aren't working together yet, but he's trying to help. He got a cool job.

Dee, that first letter is the best isn't it? Glad you got it. :) Still waiting...

Yes that first letter is the best.... Thank you!! You will get one soon.

My SR got the nickname Bruce Lee and his friends are pacman, hands, clown, chef, smalls, smiles, figs, little guy, senior special face(but by the end of the letter senior special face changed to staples)

Hello,

I got my letter yesterday.   I was a bit sad to post after reading that she tried to call me last week, but by the time she figured out how to use the calling card her five minutes were up.  At this point she did cry.  Only two more scheduled calls left. :-(

Her nickname is Yeoman.  No one knows her real name.  She did write that there are lots of funny moments so bootcamp isn't as serious and scary as she thought it would be.  She said the food was decent and they eat 3 times a day and drink water canteens all day long.   She also passed the swim test.

Hello everyone.  I finally figured this out...(Thanks Jess!).  I'm glad we have this to talk to everyone. We had something similar when my oldest son was in Marine Corps Bootcamp.  The support really helps.  My son, Josh, is in Div 252.  His girlfriend, Jessica has gotten a letter but I haven't yet.  I know he doesn't have much time though, and I know from Jessica's letter that he's doing great, so I'm ok with it....still want one though!  I would love to know who his bunkmate is.  He said he's made some really good friends.  :)

Josh will send one to you soon! I'll make him! haha

He's going to have to have a calling card to call next week though right? I knew we should have gotten him one. I hope he bought one there.
So, for Josh's brother, I sent a whole bunch of address labels with the website info. I had him give labels to all the guys to stick on their letters home. Then all the parents, girlfriends, etc. knew where to go to join the discussion. I'll send Josh a bunch of labels to give out to the guys so by the time we all get to graduation we should have quite a few people on here getting to know each other. The Meet n Greet should be fun!!

He took money, and he has the opportunity to buy one at NEX, so unless he wants to do something else in the time period their allowed to call, I think he got one.

Well, I sent the labels and I'm a little worried.  It was ok for Marine Corps bootcamp...I hope it's ok for Navy bootcamp.  I would hate to think that I just got my baby IT'd....  Should be ok.  It's just paper folded up. Yikes. :P  Anyway, hopefully we'll be getting lots more parents, girlfriends, etc...joining our discussion.

Is this the main discussion for Div 252 or am I missing more?

Denise
