Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My daughter is also in this division. There are not a lot of us on Navy for Moms from this division. I guess that's the way it goes sometimes :-)

everyone please keep coming to this page. There are moms and other members who don't "do" facebook and they will be looking for support here. Some of them are here just reading posts who are too shy to post anything their selves so they rely on what they read here to get them through this experience. If you want some great facebook groups here are the ones I have seen the most activity on. Also remember some group are closed and some are not. You should never post any private info or ship movement, Sailor travel details on any page or group no matter if it is private, closed or open. Always be safe and keep your Sailor safe.

My son is in this ship/div, haven't received a letter or call. Hoping this weekend I get the call. Will he be able to call my cell, I rarely answer my house phone due to telemarketers but answer in case it is him as the calls displayed as Out of Area. I haven't made any flight plans just yet, looking for flight deals from CA. I don't "do" facebook, this site is my only connection to other mothers.

He can call any phone that he knows the number to. I haven't received anything yet, but I'm not expecting a call until maybe next week. Hopefully a letter will come soon. It's nice to meet you.

My daughter will be going to Pensacola for AV. They could end up flying out together.

My daughter will be going to Pensacola for AC ( Air traffic controller) What is AV ?

AV is for aviation electronics, computer field.... but it branches off into 2 different rates once they hit Pensacola. Some will become AT (aviation electronics technician) and some will become AE (aviation electrician). My daughter is hoping to get AT because she heard they spend more time on the flight deck working on the aircraft while AE is more working in the shop. AC is a good rate, good opportunities after Navy service.
