My daughter is but I didn't get a letter today.

Hopefully, its comes on Monday. Glad to find someone else in the same DIV.

I got my letter today! My SR arrived at RTC on 6/20 & got his box last Wednesday.  So when I didn't get the letter in the mail, I started to worry that it got lost in the mail.  I haven't used the US postal system in so long because I do everything online & through email.  Its going to take some time getting used to the snail mail again.  Take care everyone, looking forward to seeing you all on the 17th!!!

There is a facebook page for families with SR's graduating on 8/17....here is the link

Received my letter today as well. Very excited to start planning. Any idea of nice hotels near the RTC?

Im thinking of the Ramada Inn?  They have shuttle service to and from graduation.  I will probably be going by myself and dont want to rent a car.  But haven't booked yet so if anyone else has suggestions that would be great!

Brandie, my son didn't include a note with his either, was a little bummed! Someone posting on the site somewhere that sometimes they are being rushed to get the letter out and dont always have time to write on it. And I havent received any calls either, but didn't really expect to until week 3 anyway.   It will be nice if we are all able to meet in person.  Have a feeling the next 6 weeks are going to be long one's

Hi brandie- just got my letter today with no extra notes. Was cool to see his writing though. I have not received a phone call. Not sure when those start. Can't wait!

Lucky :)

We are ship 7 sub 258 :)

everyone please keep coming to this page. There are moms and other members who don't "do" facebook and they will be looking for support here. Some of them are here just reading posts who are too shy to post anything their selves so they rely on what they read here to get them through this experience. If you want some great facebook groups here are the ones I have seen the most activity on. Also remember some group are closed and some are not. You should never post any private info or ship movement, Sailor travel details on any page or group no matter if it is private, closed or open. Always be safe and keep your Sailor safe.
