Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 281 and 282

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi all. 281 here :)

Hello.  Have you heard from your SR?  My son is in 282.  I'm still waiting for a call or letter

I had a business only call from him awhile back but could only talk addresses. It looks like letters went out Monday. Some 282s letters started arriving at houses as early as yesterday but they live very close to GL. Based on the time frame it took me to get the form letter, I'm thinking today may be my letter day.

Hi klemmboney, my son is division 282, we just received letters yesterday and I know another mom received hers today so be on the look out they are on the way.  He said they have a great group and are getting along just getting in trouble for talking a lot I guess.  :) hope you get your letter today...

We are waiting for a call and letter too! Our future sailor is in 282 also!

Hi my SR is in 282,I just got his Form letter and first letter, exactly today 3 weeks.
My SR is 282. He says he has made several friends. He is a bit homesick especially for his little brother
Just received my second letter from my SR, he said on his letter sometimes they have good days and bad days, and he miss showering by himself and go for a drive when he wants to get away. over all he said it's not that hard, 30-45 minutes of Pt and 8-10 hrs of sleep :)

ellen502 in my SR letter I received from him yesterday and dated July 12th, division 282 is moving this Saturday to Ship 06, I would assume 281 would move with them but not sure.  So division 282 will now be in Ship 06.

Not unusual to have recruits moved to a different ship, but usually don't have them in ship 06. The 900 divisions used to be housed in that ship, but haven't been for a while. There are also divisions from another TG making the same move to Ship 06, I am finding this interesting. Guessing the RTC is filling up. :)

Thank you for the information, and yes it would be both divisions that would move. I will change the group title in a few days.

Yah Craig was kinda surprised they moved to Ship 06, but that's where they are headed...  So nice to hear from them..  RTC must be getting lots of residents :)

I received a letter from my SR today saying he will be moving to ship 6 from ship 13. Does this mean division 274 PIR date has changed
