~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

navykid: It is possible that he just needed info, but it was found after the call. That happened with me when my son was there....missed call call, no message, didn't hear from him again for about 2 weeks....panicked, but turned out in his case, they wanted to clarify something medically but were able to solve it without my help.
The fact that you have not heard from him again is actually a good thing, if you are worried something is wrong.
Good Morning, Thank you for answering all my questions. I will be waiting for a call.
Good morning everyone :) No Michelle, I didn't get one back, but I did take some advice I found from other moms and changed my voicemail to a message for him if I miss him again, and also wrote on his FB page. He didn't call his dad after I missed the call, so I'm gonna try and stay positive about it
Expected calls this afternoon from new sailors in Div 255-258 ! We think! For sure, 255/256, but hopefully the other divisions too. They can start as early as 2 pm and go for a while.
Good Morning!
BattleStations is started anywhere between 8 and 10 pm, and is a 12 hr drill. Like CatMom said, usually no calls BEFORE BattleStations is a good thing!
Soccermom: I will friend request the info on BattleStations. Don't hit ACCEPT or the info goes away!
Is there anyway to find out when my daughter is doing battlestations. Ship 3 div 261
aj's mom,
Yes, you should receive a call if there is a hiccup with passing any of their requirements before Battlestations. So this is a time when "no news is really good news!" Battlestations occurs during the last 2 weeks of Boot Camp and starts at about 8:00 pm and runs for 12 hours~
