Haven't found many folks with SRs in this same group as my son. Thought I'd try a new discussion? I know 266 is brother div. with 265. There must be a bunch of ya's out there!
Hi! I'm Becky from NH!

8 days to go! Me and the family are excited too! Had a little glitch yesterday with plans for my SR's girlfriend to come, but I think it's all worked out now.
Got a suprise phone call about an hour ago. He finally passed the run test :) all set for BS and PIR !! So excited for and proud of my soon to be sailor! Woot woot i get to see him in a week!
Proudcomom: Wow, I have never heard of them changing divisions within a PIR group? What is the point of that???? Strange. If he was "asmoed" he would have changed PIR groups--I know this because my son was asmoed when he was up there---Div 265 is either ahead of 268 in training, or more likely, right at the same point.
If you get more info, please pass it along. Moving him from Div 268 up to 265 is crazy....they actually do BattleStations the same night, we believe.
As N4Moms veteran on the PIR groups to help, I would love more info on this. So when you talk to your son, please friend request/message me with details. I just don't see where this makes any sense at all.
My Sailor just called!! He sounded exhausted but excited! He said he's grad n go but will be staying in Great Lakes while his A school (cs) classes up, so it looks like we get to spend much more time with him than originally thought :) Yup thats my Son, a Sailor for The United States Navy! :)
