Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 327 and 328

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good! Rates are reasonable too!

We are staying at the Navy lodge. I think that I heard something about additional clearance paperwork to stay there though, does any one know what I am talking about and what I need to do about it?
We are staying at the Navy Lodge also. I called, the person who took the reservation asked for my SRs first and last name and his PIR date. She didn't say I needed anything else. I hope we don't need anything else.
I must be thinking of somewhere else then. I booked online and it did not require that information so I may call anyhow.

Still waiting hopefully for that call too tonight!

I would love to get a call soon! I heard from him just the once, no letter for me yet either, just one for his brother.
No call for me, maybe today, out maybe he called dad instead.

I got my first letter from my son last night! (Div 327).  I was very excited.  He said that there are around 14 people SIQ (sick in quarters) right now. They had their first test friday and their overall divisional scores weren't great - 5 people failed and the their average was 3.95 out of 5.0 - they need a 4.0 or higher to get the academics flag, and he didn't feel too hopeful that the SIQ's could get them where they need to be.   They have their week 4 PFA (physical fitness assessment ) this week and he is hoping that they will get over a 4.0 for a flag in PT.  He says that a couple of the RDC's have been a bit tough on them and telling them how they are disappointed in them and know they are better - I guess that's how it goes in bootcamp.  I think my son felt badly about it because one of those RDCs had been very encouraging to them the prior week.  They are half way there - I'm looking forward to seeing him in 4 weeks!

How wonderful to hear their voices and read their words. I have not received a call, girl friend has, or a letter, he sent one care of me to deliver to a friend!!! Oh we'll maybe this is my lucky week. Can't wait to see him and hug him. Hope he's not one of the sick ones.
It's question is for LAla, what is a PIR ribbon? Is there a picture? Who wears it?
Thanks, Lauriea

Good morning fellow Division 327/328 family members:  Any one know if there are and SR that aren't getting many/no letters from home?  My brother is going thru and I know he is getting lots and would like to help encourage others who may not be getting as much support from home!!!

I could give you two names of SRs my SR gave me.  Both 18 yr olds.  Starting last week, I started sending something 2x a week.  My SR said they hated mail call...sad.  If you send me friend request I will give you their names!
