~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

my husband is ship 14 div 323.... cannot WAIT to get a real letter from him now. hopefully they'll be able to write this sunday so we can all get letters next week!
michelle71: my son is on ship 13 div 322. It was very wonderful. He did tell me that if he were to get the call, he was calling his gf. I'm ok with that since I got to talk to him today!
Best Day Ever!!! I got a call from my son! He needed some personal referral information and was able to talk for about 5 minutes! Not scripted or anything! It was so wonderful to hear his voice. When I answered the phone and heard "hi mom" it took me a few minutes to realize that it was actually my son! He also told me that he heard through the grapevine that his DIV may be able to make a call tomorrow. Sounds like group is doing excellent!
Happy Friday!!
"The Lord shall preserve your going out
and your coming in from this time forth,
and even forevermore."

amp: My son is on Ship 13 Div 321. I'm sure we'll see you at PIR! And at Sarge's MeetandGreet. Aprilrenee: Yeah! I did get those free phone cards, you get 8 of them, each one lasts about 20 minutes. I told him to share those with anyone who doesn't have a phone card. (My son also has a Costco phone card ($20/700 minutes).) Emroha: my son brought the addresses/phone numbers with him to BC, but now I wish he hadn't. It would have given me a chance to hear his voice, too! Glad you got a chance to talk to him. :)
