Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I was surprised to see that as much as they all look alike from the front, I was able to recognize the back of his head from the top of the upper seats in second flat!

My sailor spotted us right away And we couldn't wait for liberty to be called! He said he almost lost it then! We are so proud. Scottsmom I totally agree.  It was fun during liberty to ask the many questions we had- to fill in the blanks around what we were hearing here the whole time.

What a great day we had for PIR! I thought I would just burst with pride when they raised the big door and our sailors marched though it. I've been reading for several weeks about how emotional this would be but words don't even begin to describe that feeling you get. Can't wait to get all the video transferred at home so I can watch it over and over again. Congratulations to all the other moms.

What a wonderful day! Its so exciting to catch your sailor for the first time walking through the door into the graduation hall. :). Best part of day is spending the day with him while he talks about his boot camp experience. Cant wait to see him tomorow and spend the day in Chicago
