N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning all - are there any Ship 9, Div 330 parents out there?  I don't think I've seen any, wondering if the Recruiter gave me the right numbers....  Hoping for that darn form letter to arrive today :)  fingers crossed

Good morning everyone. What day is it? WHAT DAY IS IT? It's HUMP Daaaaay :) lol I hope you all have a good day and I hope you all get letters today or tomorrow.

If your Sailor will fly out for A-school here is some info that you should send to your recruit at least a week before PIR. Just write this all down on an index card. Tell them when they get their itinerary the week of PIR they can use it to fill in the blanks and then hand it to you after PIR. It is important to know all this so you don't end up at the wrong gate or even worse the wrong airport. Sadly, that has happened.

Have a wonderful Hump Day :)

Please fill this out when you get your flight itinerary/orders and then give it to us at PIR. Do not mail it.

michelle:  He meant that the MeetandGreet is for the PIR 8/30 group.  Yes, it is for Thurs night.

Jackie:  They don't leave for A School on PIR Day.  They could be bussed to the airports late that night, but won't fly out until the next day sometime.  You can meet them at the airport and wait with them (take ID for an airlines gate pass).
