HI! My SR is in this division!! I am hoping to join the discussions.

Hello SnoopySailor....I am also interested in viewing photos from PIR 8/17 and 8/24....please keep me posted. My son is on the drum line as head snare....Thank you

Hi everyone! Did anyone else get calls today from your SRs?? We did & my SR said the div was getting better about working together!

Guess what? I got call on Saturday AM...It was soooo great to hear his voice. We were talking for awhile and darn that Verizon the call was dropped..I could hear him but he couldn't hear me...I was so upset and started to cry....then he called me back ...all was good.

I understand the Sailors that are staying in the Great Lakes area will have Monday off? I am wondering if Monday is truly a day off or will they be expected to use part of that day for gearing up for the rest of the week? If so, I can look into changing my flight reservations. If someone has the answer to this question, please let me know. Thank you

My Son said battleship will be 7-1 He said there will be about 8 divisions graduating. Inspection week starts Aug 6th

Thanks to all for your dedicated support:)

momplus:  Be sure to ask your questions on the main PIR page, where we N4Moms veterans are waiting to answer!  I just happened to check the discussions this morning, but we N4Moms veterans really don't have time to do that often.  We are on 6-8 PIR groups at once so it is hard to check all discussions, but we do check the main PIR pages so please post questions there and check for info.

To answer your question.  they should have at least part of Labor Day off, unless they have "watch" but even then...they should have some time.  So hoping that you can fly out after that!

And there are actually 12 divisions in this PIR group who will be graduating!  So it will be a nice full PIR Hall!  BattleStations is an overnight drill that completes their training.  This group will probably have 4 divisions go per night (3 divisions on night that the 900 division goes through).  They go through with their brother divisions, and either the 900 division or another set of brother divisions.  It is approximately 12 hours long...and they will make that "I'm a Sailor" call the next afternoon.  I am collecting BattleStations dates from this group and keeping a schedule.  If you hear a date from your SR for that division, please friend request/private message me.  We can't post them on the site but can private message them.

The SRs are ready for BattleStations at 6-4/6-5. (training week #//day #)...they are sailors by 7-1!

I think 942 would have been performing at today's PIR - is that right?  So exciting - only 2 more weeks to go!

Hello CookieGVB...yes you are correct. My son did perform with the drum line today. He is the Head Snare.  I am hoping to find someone that has video or pictures on line.  If you find any, please let me know as well as Nursecat. Her son is also on the drum line. Thank you :)

Mine is the Drumline as well and looking for.pics on 8/17 ,and 8/24 i hope some post some of the Drumline,i am so excited Looking for a glimpse of my son...O I miss him so much...
