Hello Nursecat.....hope you had a good day1
I was just wondering..have you received any emails from NavyforMoms.com forums? I usually get about 20 a day....I have not received one email at all...and I have a few questions out there....Hummm...let me know ..thank you...:)
Nursecat....how was your day off? Did you get all your questions answered from Sarge?
Have a great day:)
Nursecat....so sorry no letter....it has to have been missing something on the address and returned...at least you confirmed his address and graduation date.
I came up with an idea....I wrote my son and asked him if he knows your son and mentioned you did not get your PIR...and asked him ...if he had the time...if he could let him know you hadn't received it and the only way is for him to write a letter to you.....I know they have a lot on their plate....and thought this might work. Thanks for your thoughts on my son's birthday...it is tough but they are going through tougher. I understand they wake up and have to hold their mattress above their head and do an exercise...oh my....well hope this works. Navy Hugs right back to you!
Hi There...be sure to be very accertive. I have a facebook but it is strickly business...I am going to ask my graphic designer to see if I can set a facebook up under another name...every one knows me and we she set up the business facebook she set up my name as well Nancy Ohr...so all my clients went into my Nancy Ohr facebook because they know me as the Elk Grove Laguna Shopper...which is my business name...well then I told all my personal friends...I don't want all my clients knowing my personal business...so as soon as i set this up I will let you know...meanwhile stay positive...and I am sure you will be able to figure it out. I know my son doesn't like to write so I am not expecting any letters. I am just glad he wrote a small note on the PIR. I would call that number I gave you 847 212 0246 directly to Grand Lakes. Let me know how it goes...I am here pulling for you. I don't want to change my flights until I find out if we can meet. Keep me posted...I am praying for you and a victory tomorrow...Hugs
OMG ! Nursecat!....I was just blogging you when I received your email. My day has been insane...it is 5:40 pm here and I just ate lunch!...I was thinking about your PIR...I think you should call the recruiter. Also, another thought..do you have another address that is the same as yours in the same neighborhood but slightly different street name? My address is the same as a neighbor two streets over...only difference is he is south I am north...we are always getting each others mail..If you are sure of the address and the recruiter has varified the address then you know you have the same graduation date as my son. I would also call the post office and speak to the post master. Ask him if you have a new postal carrier...many times during this time of year...postal carries change around due to vacations. The post master can do some investigating. I am praying that is comes tomorrow and you don't have to track it down. But, if you do..hope these suggestions help. Keep me posted. I haven't decided if I am going to stay on that sunday and fly back on monday or not...My plans with Sarge are not set yet. I wanted to take a direct flight and only had one choice...coming in at 8:00pm on Thursday so will miss the Meet and Greet he has ...that starts at 5:30. Again...keep me posted...I'm here for you.
nursecat...I can't believe it...I lost membership on this site and had to re-join to get back on! Anyway, I just got off the phone with Sarge...from Sarge's Service...he is an angel! He gave me lots of information. First, graduation is at 9:00 am and lasts till 10:30am ...we will have at least 45 minutes with our sailor. If your sailor stays in GL, they leave to get set up about a mile in a half away...this process takes about 2 hours. Then we can pick them up again to celebrate and they need to be back by 10pm. The next day, again if they stay in GL, they have liberty on Saturday starting at 6:30am again need to be back by 10pm. Because this is Labor Day Weekend, they will have sunday and Monday off too. He says not to rent a car...too expensive, hard to find parking in downtown Chicago. He helps you with everything. His charge to pick up from Chicago O'Hare is only $54. it is 45 minutes away. His number is 847-212-0246. A post had the wrong number...no wonder that person had no idea what I was talking about LOL....ok check in with me tomorrow:) chin up your day is tomorrow:)
nursecat...I just checked my mail box ...and I GOT THE PIR!....so excited I was jumping up and down.....! ...Did you get yours? I am sure you would get it today or tomorrow...My son's letter was post marked July 11th...so it took....4 days to get here. He wrote a note says he is learning a lot ..he had, at that point, completed one week of training. The date is August 31st.Any suggestions on how to get from Chicago airport and hotel?....I will wait to hear from you...I am praying for you....let me know:)
Nursecat(Ship2DIV 942..I am so disappointed, I just checked the Saturday mail and nothing! URRR this is driving me crazy! Meanwhile, the prices on air is going sky rocket high...we have heard from others in our same ship and div with a promotion date of 8/31/12...maybe I will just book the flight. Also, I do have a question on the shots they are issued...what are they called and how many shots do they get? My other thought....my son arrived on July 1st...he might have had to wait around for a week or so before there was enought SR's to start a division. I read in one post, there is about 80 SR's in one division except for 800 and 900 series....what does that mean...what is different between these series our son's are in and the other series of numbers? Thanks for your support
