Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to start a discussion/group for all those that share the same PIR, Ship, and Division as my son listed above. Please feel free to let me know who you are so we can talk and/or discuss this Division, looking forward to chatting with you.

Hello out there, this group seems so LAME compared to other's.
My daughter's group is hopping...she PIR's 8/12...but we've been chatting for
weeks........
Do we really only have like 7 in this group?
Or is everyone on the regular 9/1 chat area? Is it the Date that is weirding everyone out?
It would be great to compare notes from this particular division so we know what's happening.
I haven't heard word from my son for two weeks! I know he sounded sick when he called, but
I know nothing......
Anyone get any letters lately that wants to SHARE?
Thanks,
Hey Janelle, I did get 3 letters today. Of course 2 were questioners I had sent him and the other was like a paragraph. I had sent him a sheet of return labels with all 5 lines of his address on it and he told me that each label saves him 5 minutes so he has more time to write. He didn't answer the one question I wanted to know and that was if he was feeling better. I did learn that he still has his sense of humor because he picked some funny answers. He said his new best friend is his rack and that the best thing so far has been sleep. I had to laugh because that was one of my biggest worries because he needs a minimum of 8 hours. But he's making it, he said his proudest accomplishment so far is making it to week 3.
Hi Everyone,
I haven't heard from my son since the phone call I got last Wednesday. I was hoping I atleast get a letter, phone call, or my questionnaires filled out. I am starting to worry because I haven't heard anything from him as of yet. I will stay positive and assume its because he is focus and all is well. I do plan to write him today because I have more questions I would like for him to answer. All I can say now is, I can't wait until 9/1 so that I can see my son because this not seeing or talking to him is the absolute worse.
Have a good day ladies and yes Janelle, I think most of us type on the actual 9/1 Discussion board since we have such a small group and can get more information if we just talk with everyone.
Hello, well I did get a letter yesterday. He sounds so blase'...he wrote like 5 sentences. His only other letter was so upbeat! My daughter, whom graduates next Friday, said he has Pneumonia! So I guess if he has this cold thing going around, he'll most likely not have a whole lot to say.
He did say he is making friends, that there are a couple guys that are very freakin funny and keeps him laughing.
I'm sure he's bummed because his sister is three weeks ahead of him...and they are TWINS...I know he feels THINGS..
I pray for all the SR's and ask God that he give's them all the strength and courage to make it through these 8 weeks!
I am so glad you got a letter Jenelle! That has to make you feel better even if it is only a few lines. I keep telling myself that a paragraph is not bad considering I used to get 1 word text messages.
yeah, you are so right, a one or two word text and abbreviated to boot!
It will be so difficult for me to be up in GL to see my daughter Graduate and not be able to see
my son, not even for a quick hug...or hand against the glass....(that's what I feel like)...I just want to
see his face.....I don't know who it's going to kill more, me or him that we can't see each other!
I'm so, so, so excited to see my girl graduate...five more days......
I"ll be back on her and let you all in on the skinny and liberty time and all that....
My son is in this division. Look forward to meeting everyone at PIR.
Morning Ladies,
Welcome angles4atime, 3 weeks and counting until I meet you all and we get to see our SR's, I can't wait.
I haven't been on for a while, and I don't have much time reading the main PIR 9/1 page.
Have any of you gotten another call other than 7/28? Has anyone's SR mentioned what day is BS21 and/or when we should be receiving our "I'm a sailor" call?
Thanks!
