My daughter is 287, also.
Nice to see other parents here.
My daughter is in this group. I got a very depressing letter from her today. She hasn't gotten any of my mail yet and is very depressed. She even had to go to the hospital and was put on 3 days SIQ (sick in quaters) Have any of you received a phone call yet? I know if she can hear my voice, she will be okay.
My daughter's letters were bad, too. She'd been in another company but got ASMOd because of knee problems & shin splints and sent into this division.
Her dad got a call yesterday - they're sending her home. I think it's for depression or anxiety - she absolutely was not prepared to join, and her dad (I live in another state) didn't make her run or prepare her mentally for it.
I'm hoping she'll grow up and be able to join again in a few years.
Giasams, my daughter didn't get my letters for weeks, and wrote asking why I hadn't written. Just keep writing - she'll eventually get them. I think it's too soon for them to get phone calls home unless they're having medical/legal issues and are getting sent back in training.
Hello ladies-I hope you all got calls. My son called today. It was only a quick 10 minutes but it was good talking to him. He said the food was good and he had made a couple of friends that will be going to the same A school as him. He was in high spirits and seemed to be adjusting fine.
I am sorry your daughter is struggling. My oldest that went through last year seemed to have one problem after another. Every time he called he was upset. I would stay positive while on the phone and then when he would hang up I would just fall apart. It is so frustrating not being able to help them. I was always so worried about him and how he was doing. He did make it and now is in the fleet and loving his job but boy was it struggle with him this last year! My son in BC right now is so very different and I am not worried about him. I know it is probably tough and I know he misses us but he will be fine.
