TXNavyMom-well I am not sure there are many mom's from our groups on N4M website.  I know our divisions are brother divisions so they will be doing everything together.  My son is in division 287.  Did you just get your form letter?  I got mine yesterday and my son said he was actually enjoying bootcamp.

got first hand written letter today.  It sounds like our sons are with a great group of guys

Hello, my son is on this ship/ division.  His wife received the form letter, but he wasn't very detailed.  We are still awaiting letters from him.

we got the form letter and he said he was miserable... lol lol....  i am not surpirsed he is pretty spoiled as he is my only one....  i am sure he is struggling, but I know he is God's hands....so no news is good news at this point.....

hoping to get a letter or call next week.... in the meantime, I keep sending cards and letters

got our first hand written letter today. It sounds like our sons are with a great group of guys

hello to all

my son is also in 12/288.  I do not see much on our group and can somebody explain to me what brother/sister ships are and how did you know we share with 287.  I feel like I am living in a new world.  I beleive myself to be fairly smart and I now find my self not understanding anything.  I am so sorry if I sound like I am winning but, I guess I am.  It seems like I have not been able to put a complete thought together since he left on 7/11.  Whoa that was a lot to get of my chest!  Sorry, I guess I am just not adjusting well to not knowing what he is doing, where he is doing it and with whom.   No wonder this poor kid left 2 weeks after his 18th Birthday.  Maybe I should have given him a little more space.  Only kidding he has wanted to be a soldier since he was 8 years old and never changed his mind.

Also anybody get mail yet other than the form letter.

My son is also in Ship 12 DIV 288.  I have received about 6 letters and 2 phone calls.  I never got the form letter so I don't even know the name of the ship he is on to print out my gate pass.  Do you?  He says he is in a really good group with some great guys and he has made a lot of new friends.  I too miss him alot.  He has never really been away from home, but I just think of the little boy phase he will leave behind and become the man he is designed to be.  It is very hard to know that someone else is yelling at my son and telling him what to do and when to do it.  I expected "hate mail" my first letter but I hear the maturity in his letters.  I am very proud of my son.  Counting down the days.

I have a son in this group.  I am so glad to finally have found a site like this.

I feel like i have been lost for the last 4 weeks.  I have found some answers and a lot of hope just by reading on this site.

Look forward to chatting with everyone!

So happy you found us.  You might also check out the Face book page for "U.S. Navy recruit Training Command". We also started a little group for 12/288 families on that sight.  Please join us

Thank you so much for the information and responding so quickly.

I wil go look for that site as well.

Yes I do ! He left July 11th . I miss him terribly. Can't wait to see him. I received my 2nd letter Thursday. He's doing great.

It won't be long now until you get to see your recruits or should I say Sailors? Captains cup will be a week from  this Saturday and that is a great day for them to just have fun and relax a little bit. And usually the winners get an extra phone call and that is always good so good luck to all your recruits :-)

I have had a bunch of messages from people wanting to know if it is too late to order ribbons and I thought it would be easier to tell you here rather than email each person separately. It is not too late to order the ribbons to wear to PIR. Just click on my name and send me a friend request if you want more info. Thanks, I have all your recruits in my prayers <3
