N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hello very random question, my sailor recently asked me for razors in a letter and I'm not too sure what the process is for that. I'm pretty sure its not even allowed lol.

MyloScout,

Yes, you can bring that kind of seating and cushions are welcome too. Those metal bleachers are hard on your bottoms!!

If you get there early enough, at least by 6:45 am, you might be able to score the seating against the wall in the lower bleachers. My daughter and I ended up with the last 2 spots available when we walked in just after 7:00 am~

Does anybody know if we can bring in the Stadium Seating type chair backs for bleacher seating to PIR? I have cancer in my spine and my hubby has a bad back as well. It's going to be a long time sitting on those bleachers with no back. I can bring it on the plane, I just don't if I can take it into the ceremony. Maybe a note from my doc would help?

Good Morning!

navywife:  Congrats on the upcoming birth of your little one!  I would think the hospital deals with this issue alot....military husbands away when their babies are born....so I would contact them about his needed signature on the birth certificate.  You may also want to email RTC about your husband getting to call you afterwards (email address should be in your form letter)....I agree with CatMom that it would be up to the RDCs, I would think.  Blessings!

navywife_sz,

I wish I knew the answer to your questions for sure, but I would say your SR hubby probably would not get to Skype with you...but he "might" get to call--up to the RDCs...
