N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

SMR my daughter told me that once she is in A school we can mail care packages to them. I was going to send her laptop and other misc items she request. At the airport though she is having me give her her wallet with drivers license, cell phone and charger and ss card. Some of her personal items as well. I guess the airport is the only place we can hand them anything.

Fremont123- I too will only have that brief time on Friday til curfew and my son will be going to FL as well. I would like to go to airport and wasn't sure of the time. However, I will have my 11 year old too, so not too sure how a 2am airport will go over.
Can we mail them packages while they are at A school.

You're welcome, Sophie!

Good Morning All !

Ok, yeah I thought it was strange that they'd change it randomly. Thanks for clarifying!

Sophie:  Not sure why he was told only 3 guests now....instead of 4.  Because that is not true!   Sometimes the RDCs get it wrong.  12 divisions or less allow 4 guests....so with 11 divisions in this group, there will be 4 guests allowed per sailor.  Just don't want anyone to panic!

Happy to hear about the calls. Can any one clarify why some or being told only 3 pir guests when it was to be four. I'm starting to get worried about number of guests being reduced.

I got my first call from my boyfriend is Div 295 yesterday!!!! He sounded great, and it was amazing to hear his voice for the first time in a month. He told me he only had 5 min then somehow managed to talk for 20 hehe. He told me he'll only be allowed 3 guests now instead of 4. It's just me, his mom, and his dad going so it doesn't affect us, but I thought I'd mention it.
