~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

terrybcarversmom: You should be getting the I'm a sailor call today! If 281 went through, 282 did too! Last night.
1preciousgirl: I'm so sorry.....stress fractures are very common in Bootcamp. The good news is that although it sets them back, they usually do finish. If they found your SR has them, you will be called if/when he is set back. If he is found not to have stress fractures and deemed medically healthy, he should be able to do BattleStations with another group if he passed his final PFA already. Keep the faith! Keep us posted on him....prayers for him and you!
Yay! 281!!
Calls are coming in!!! 281 passed
thoughts are with you preciousgirl!
Has anyone heard anything from DIV 282 yet today? This is the first week we've not seen a letter and getting a little antsy for PIR next week!
My SR was removed from 283 day before yesterday with a presumed stress fracture and taken to the hospital for a MRI/Bone Scan. He and I are heartbroken he didn't get to participate in BS and possibly PIR. I have not received any call since so I don't know his outcome. If any moms of Div 283 get calls today...can you ask your SR if SR C.H. was returned to his Div or in fact retained in RCU and let me know? Any help would be much appreciated. If you'd like his name, PM me. Thanks.
My phone is strapped to my body...lol. Can't wait to hear his voice :-)
I am so excited, didn't sleep a wink last night, praying for that Phone call today! Thanks for the update diannep!
I'm a Sailor calls should come in this afternoon (after 2pm Central) for some of you. We think that Div 281-284 went through, so phones close! Be checking FB accounts too as some get on the computers before they get to the phones!
Good Morning! Here is the LiveStream link for those who may want to watch the PIR service today. It starts up at 8:45 a.m. Central!
