Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 349 and 350

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We just got our first phone call from our SR.  She sounded great!  We got to talk for 40 minutes!  That was fantastic.  I feel so much better now.  Feel like celebrating!

Ship 12 Div 349...Got a phone call from my daughter today, she sounded upbeat, despite the fact that she has had severe bronchitis for three days, she has NEVER been sick! Medical said if she had waited one more day to see them they would of had to do surgery to remove the fluid, WTH! Does anyone have a daughter named Santiago? That is her bunk mate, who has taken care of my daughter. But her attitude seemed really positive, and she ask to be taken off light duty today so she didn't lose her phone call home.

Hi My Daughter just called she sounds great!!! Her bunk mate has the initials c r anyone's daughter have those intials? ship 12 div 349

Got a call from our daughter today...she called at the exact perfect time, because our entire family was over for a bbq and she got to say hello to everyone!  We are a bit worried though she gets her wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow... I am sure she will be fine just a little concerned, Why do they pull them if they aren't even bothering her?  Also got our info to download the gate pass today. So excited to see her!!

Hi mom's! Heard from my daughter , as I've seen on the Facebook group, some of you moms did too. My SR said that this was 2nd call out of her 3 calls she is allowed, did anyone else's daughter mention that?! If this was, then I won't hear from her until after battle stations 21??? anybody hear when that will be?
Looks like BS will be the first week of Sept. when they successfully complete BS we will get the "I'm a Sailor" phone call.
Thanks Lorianne! Hope your daughter has adjusted well. They're in the building up the sailor stage, right?! 5th week there & mine sounded much better than her last call on 8/3. Have a great day!

my SR called today Ship 12 Div 349.

My SR called today as well ship 12 div 349. It sure is great to hear from him. Wonder when the next call will come?

Derrick & Tammie are you on the 9/13 PIR facebook group?

Lots of info and support here too https://www.facebook.com/groups/498212960261510/

We received letter #2 from our SR today, Ship 12, Div 349.  She's still homesick but doing just fine.  She's looking forward to the new training they're doing, esp. weapons.  We are all counting the days to PIR!  I have been looking, but have not found-how does one dress for PIR?  Casual dress or formal dress.  My husband doesn't even own a suit!

Dress comfortable and remember you will be taking lots of pictures so presentable. no flipflops shorts etc. Also no signs to carry in. Come to Sarges meet and greet on Thursday night if you can to meet others of us:)
