Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 347 and 348

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

 Hello Mary,

I understand about the going off to college thing...Ugh it is so darn upsetting.  My son is in brother division

ship 13...Div 348.   I received my first letter from him Wednesday.   I keep reading it over and over.   I miss my

boy too.  I live in MO. and each day I count down till graduation day so I can see him.  I think the thing that is

Hardest is not knowing if he is ok .   Guess being a mother you just worry about them.  If we didn't love our

boys so much this would  probably be much easier.  I hope time passes quickly for you and me.

    :) Rhonda

Good morning Rhonda,

Thanks for the sweet note. It's nice to talk to others whose SR is right there with ours.

Our sons girlfriend was over yesterday when she received a call from home that she had her first letter. I threw my keys at her and said "go, go, gooooo". It was a sweet letter and our SR sounded more upbeat in the letter than he did in the call on Saturday. I had to wait until our mail came a couple hours later, but mine was in there too. The first thing I noticed was the difference in his writing. No chicken scratch cursive anymore :)

I'm hoping for another call tomorrow but I won't hold my breath. Apparently there was a demerit given in my sons DIV. Hopefully they've paid their dues and we will get calls.

Take care.

Mary

punk95smom, Sorry to say that would not be your SR. :( That is actually a TG that is standing outside the drill hall to enter for PIR. Keep looking at the photos...you never know.

Good morning all,

Just wanted to say hi.  Our boys are in divisions/brother divisions together.  Mine is Ship 13, Div 348.  I haven't received a personal letter yet and unfortunately missed his call, but he sounded TERRIFIC on the message he left.  Hopefully will get a letter today, but barring all of that, I am so glad he is there and am sure the boys are doing well.  Can't wait for PIR!

Best wishes to all,

Wendy

Hi Wendy,

I'm sure you will get another call or letter soon :)  xoxo Rhonda
