OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning All !  Expecting I'm a Sailor calls this afternoon from 341/342!  They can start as early as 2 pm Central time, but keep those phones close by all day.  They can start later too and go for quite some time.  Please post here when you receive your call and post your division so others know which one is calling!

If you order tonight I will have them in the mail tomorrow and you should have them on Saturday or Monday depending on your location. I ship priority 2 to 3 day mail so they arrive quickly once shipped. There are no specific colors for this PIR group so just order what you like the best :) www.uniquememorymakers.com Thanks so much :)

Here is the link to Lala's page.  I feel sure she can get the ribbons to you if you order right now!  She has even sent to the GL hotels before.

Lala Queen Ribbon PIR Ribbon: I'm not sure I will have enough time to order and receive my ribbon before leaving out early next week. If I order is there a specific color for my PIR group?

I want to order some ribbons, how can I go about that?

For those who want to go to PIR, but aren't on the sailor's guest list....remember...those people can watch the ceremony on their computers at the hotel through the LIVESTREAM feature.  Then, they can meet up with the guests/sailor after PIR back at the hotel or wherever (they won't be allowed on base though).

Sounds like a plan, Lala!  :-)

Ladies, You will see all types of dress at PIR....I agree with Kam'sMom.  We suggest --- casual but nice (jeans are fine).  The guy I saw at ours in the ragged stringy short cutoff jeans, with a tank top, and flip flops....in Feb....with snow on the ground...hmmm....not quite appropriate.  But then there was a girl who looked like she may have been "clubbing" all night...and was balancing on her very tall shoes in her short dress!  There is no set dress code....but remember that your sailors will be in their finest!  And remember that there is bleacher seating---so consider that when climbing....comfortable shoes are a MUST!

The sweater/light jacket idea was from those who attended over the summer with the a/c blasting on hot days, so it may or may not be needed, but have it just in case!  Might be nice to sit on it if you don't need to wear it...those bleacher seats can be rough on the "bum!"  :-)

Diannep :) Isn't she just amazing? I may have to kidnap her and bring her to your place this winter, not sure we would get your kitchen organized lol but we would have a blast with Eastyn :)

samiamsmom, if you order today I can have your ribbons in the mail by tomorrow and you should have them by Saturday or Monday at the latest :)
