~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Our PIR weekend was wonderful! Thanks to all the veteran moms for all the info...it was a tremendous help! Not only did we love seeing our son, but also enjoyed meeting many of his friends... your sons!
We were also thrilled to have Friday and Saturday with him, as his flight to P'cola was early on Sun. morning. We made the trip to the airport at 1:00am to take his electronics to him and found approx. 70 sailors in the baggage claim area at Midway. FYI: the ticket counters don't open until 4:00am, so they all had to wait in the baggage area. There is very little seating, so we only stayed for an hour. I'd probably not change a thing, but wanted to let you know.
Blessings to all!
Diannep, my ex was adement, that everyone was going to go to PIR, and wait on base. He called RTC, and they told him they FROWN on it, but that "extras" could wait on base at the chappel and watch. I was totally against it, as I didnt want to miss it because we had extra people with us. We got back to the hotel by 1, and the rest of the family still had a good amount of time with her. It also gave us, as parents, individual time with her, and her time to aclimate.
Question: Seems that someone had heard that "extras" were being allowed onto RTC and were able to watch the PIR service on the Livestream in the Chapel. This is something one of the current bootcamp moms heard. We N4Moms veterans are not aware of this. Did anyone have experience with this last Friday?
It was the most fabulous day from start to finish! The sailors were awesome! Thanks for all the 'what to expects' on this site too.

It is not too late to order them!
PIR was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Thank you all for all you do! Thank you to all the hosts on this page I would not have had a clue to what was going on without the info. you ladies provided. I have a question my grandson did not order his pictures is it too late to purchase them? If not where can they be purchased?
Now the question for all: If you found any of our info was not correct this weekend. please post here. We constantly want to update as changes are made. So....we appreciate all comments that you have!
You are very welcome, Lindsaysproudmom! Congrats to your sailor!
Thanks ellen, diannep and catmom and any others that were hosts on this page! It was such an awesome weekend!! My only complaint was that is was way to short amount of time with my sailor but I soaked in and enjoyed every moment with her!! I am so very grateful that we made it on Thursday because lightening hit the control tower at the airport and there were no flights getting in or out!! You can imagine my panic and concern thinking that I might not get there for Friday but this momma did a lot of praying and thankfully they got the problem fixed so our flight went out!! A lot of fights were cancelled but our wasn't and so I was so very thankful to be there!! What a way to start the weekend!!
