Now that we're nearing the "letter" phase of BC, I wanted a place that we could post humorous quotes from our SR's in their letters. (Hoping there are some! lol) Humor goes a long way in cheering our lonely mama and papa hearts! So post em when you get em!
No personal letter yet but my SR put "mom" "dad" on his form letter instead of our names... LOL I even read that another SR did this awhile ago and before he left and I told him about it but I dont think he remembered it...
My SR has written Mom and Dad on every envelope. I
wonder if he remembers our real names...LoL
Daubersmom, my daughter did the same thing! lol "mom, dad, step mom, and step dad"! Makes me envision her half asleep, listening with one ear when they said something like, "Ok, fill out these forms. List whomever (would they actually say whom?) you want to attend PIR, mom, dad, step-mom, step-dad." And my SR just copying what they said!
Yeah, listening skills isnt one of his strong points!!! The funniest thing was I had TOLD him not to do that before he left. I also pictured him half awake trying to fill that out... Gotta love em...
Fun discussion ladies!!!
The second letter from my son gave me this.
It's tough here, but not as bad as I though. I am looking forward to getting out of prison boot camp here in three weeks. I am so counting the the days until graduation. Tell the cats I said hi.
You will have lots of fun things to remember in the letters you receive. Share them to give all a smile.
Here is a link for those hard days:
I used to post this regularly...but I thought this group would really appreciate it!
When I read top ten...I couldn't stop..and laughed until I cried!
I just found this -- i am laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes .... oh the memories! Now I am even more really, really excited to she my daughter after boot camp! 5 more days. Simulate a sailor! Awesome. Thank you for sharing the link.
In his 2nd letter my husband wrote: Making the bed sucks, it is easier for me to setup a nuclear rocket than making this stupid bed!! I almost fell laughing!
first letter: it was priceless... " no mystery meat yet", "I will be carrying a flag during graduation unless I get fired", and " Dad: take care of mom, Mom: take care of Max(the cat)...

I have been laughing about this all weekend-- every letter he mentions the food. He really misses his momma's southern home cooking.
