Pre-Anxiousness

Posted on June 6, 2012 at 4:59pm 2 Comments

Whew...I found the N4M site yesterday and spent just about the entire day reading blogs, comments and checking out all the "need to know" stuff while impatiently and anxiously awaiting my approval to join to come thru.

My daugther has wanted to join the military for a very, very long time. Now the time is here. She started training with the Marine recruits a year ago (because she wasn't able to join the Navy recruits until she enlisted), turned 18 in March, graduated from HS…

You are in the 1st days of boot camp, so learn everything you can now.  It will all make sense when you get to week 5.  It seems like you'll have a really good group.  Everyone seems to be talking, which makes for a great group.

The challenge coin is just a gift. It's part of a collection that the sailors will soon start having.  I told the company that makes them not to worry about the USS Arizona because it is never used.  Now it is...

When you're bored, you can read up challenge coins are by going here (look at the Triton part 1 thru 4).

I really wanted to join this group since the USS Arizona Ship 14 hasn't been used in over 2 years.  As you know, I am designing Challenge coins for all the ships, and I hadn't planned on designing this one since it was never used.  It's just like the Navy, once you think you have it all figured out, then then change everything ~ha
