OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 295 and 296

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My youngest Son is in Ship 13 Division 296. It's hard to believe we will be headed there in 9 days for graduation. My eldest Son graduated in 1999 & now 15 yrs. later he will be attending his little brother's graduation. This is super exciting event! I'm so proud of all the SR's & the hard work they are putting in during boot camp.I'm looking forward to hearing about other Mom's experiences.

We're from Kingwood Texas, about 30 minutes north of Houston. Are you in Texas?

Looking forward to meeting you too! It's been great to have this support group. I'm so proud of all our kids and can't wait to see them at PIR.

My son is here too! Hello! On FB there are two closed pages for our PIR date and lots of parents on there. If you haven't been on there - go check it out! Also there is a RTC FB page that posts some random pictures of the SR's and PIR pics. If you enter the Tues. Trivia on the RTC page and get the question right, they will find your SR's Div. and go take pics of them and post it. Have a great Saturday everyone!!!
