N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Auntie#1: I don't know if you want to give out this info but if you do, tell me her name and if my wife knows her I can relay a message for you.

Auntie #1: I don't understand that at all. Why would they want us to lose hope:( I never gave up on her though. Your niece has got this, she will graduate tomorrow alongside my wife and the rest of their brothers and sisters. I can feel it. Tomorrow will be a great day. I'll be leaving soon.

Hello Friends~~

     "He gives strength to the weary and increases

      the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired

      and weary, and the young stumble and fall;

      But those who hope in the Lord will renew

      their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;

      they will run and not grow weary, they will walk

      and not be faint."

Hunter:  PDA=Public Display of Affection.....not allowed outside of PIR Hall.  You may take the crook of her left arm to hold as you walk....but she must have her right arm free to salute when needed.  So get your hugs in PIR Hall and follow her lead when you walk out onto the base!

My call from my niece was scripted to She said not to come for graduation because even if she passed she would be going to A school I haven't received anything about what you said your wife said I'm sure that if that happened the ones involved would be punished

Has anyone ever had experience with their sailor calling you and the call be scripted and false information? I got a letter from my wife today(she wrote this past weekend) stating the call I got from her last Sunday was untrue and scripted for her to say. The facts are someone got her hurt on the track and she and 15 others were forced off the track and automatically failed. They "asmo'd" her and the others. Even told them that they would not get anymore calls(even though my wife did) I'm just really confused as to why they would do this. Anyway the letter was all good news besides that, I will be making the trip to Great Lakes and my wife will be a sailor.
I don't know if it's good or bad that gave out this information, just thought it was strange. Hoping I'm not starting anything, just curious if anyone has went through this before, or heard of this.

Probably not auntie #1, I wasn't supposed to get a call either but I bugged mr. Walsh enough that they gave my wife a call. All I can say is email him and ask for her status. He'll probably say something like "if she hasn't called she hasn't passed" but explain to him that you know she could pass by Friday morning and you would never get a call. And you might just get one.

Auntie#1:  Yes, they will call when they are sailors.  But for your niece, since she doesn't go until tonight, she wouldn't call before tomorrow.
