N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

momRN:  The box still could show up so don't give up hope!  We will not know how many can attend as their guests until the number of divisions is determined for this PIR group.  If 12 divisions or less, 4 guests....if 13 divisions or more, 3 guests.  And just remember that mail is held from them for the first couple of weeks until the Recruit Mail Petty Officer is trained so they won't receive your letters yet!  They usually receive them on a Sunday....and can write for the first timed then (a personal letter).    After that, they can write once a week, mailed out on Mondays, but will receive mail M-F.

Hello jaica13s. My daughter Emily is in Div 946 also!! Her recruiter told me. I've gotten her box but no letter yet!

I received "the box" last week, but have yet to receive "the form letter". My son was able to make a quick call to me on Monday after having a reaction to a vaccine and he said his PIR date is 9/25, Div 946. Anybody else in that division get their letters yet? He said it went out Sunday night.

Hello Friends!

     "Be still, and know that I am God;

      I will be exalted among the nations,

      I will be exalted in the earth!"

      The Lord of hosts is with us;

      the God of Jacob will be our refuge."

Hey everyone, I want to give you a "HEADS UP" to be prepared to possibly receive calls from your SRs this weekend! The call will show up as "847", "Waukegan, IL", "Pay Phone", or "Government" or anything else that may be unfamiliar. If it is a sales call, just politely tell them "No, thank you." Please also let your family members know about this too~~

When you do receive a call, could you please post which division is calling also, so other moms/loved ones know to expect a call? Now if anyone in that division doesn't receive a call, it could be your SR is on watch and it is up to the RDCs on whether that SR gets to make-up the call~~

During this time in Boot Camp, please keep your cell phones charged, ready, and with you all the time---upstairs, downstairs, out in the backyard, in the bathroom, out to get the mail, of course, out on errands. If you are going to a loud restaurant or a movie theater, remember to put it on "vibrate" and put in your pocket or some place you can feel it. They can call during the week or weekend, so just be prepared: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm (Pacific/West Coast); 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (Mountain time); 8:00 am - 8:00 pm (Central/Great Lakes time); 9:00 am - 9:00 pm (Eastern Coast).

OMG, will have to get a letter to him ASAP and find out what is going on. How many can come to the PIR on the 18th..4?? I better move and reserve rooms.Still no box, called Fedex and without a tracking number they can't help, one lost phone and it was new, uggg...Thnak you everyone! I thought his PIR would be the 25th, he left on the 28th so thought when everyone else was getting letters with the 25th as the PIR date I was good with thinking that was his too...

Bekkelee I too had a laugh when I got the box. He sent back a empty water bottle and a bag of his favorite sunflower seeds. I will definitely tell him to keep a eye out for your girl ;)

momRN, If the recruiters information is correct, your recruit is in TG 45 with a PIR of 09/18.
