~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Thanks for the info, diannep. Yes he wants them...said he didn't want the BC glasses to take away from the sexiness of his new uniform! Ah, I do miss that cheesy sense of humor! I just put new solution in his case and new contacts are in their sealed package, a very generic note inside since I figured he'd have to open with the RDC and "contacts for PIR' written on the outside.
Greetings All!
"The Lord will hold you in His hand for all to see --
a splendid crown in the hand of God."
Bobbie: First of all, make sure your SR has requested them from you and so is expecting them. Then, you can send them with a small amount of solution in a padded envelope or small box, and yes, label on the outside what they are. Your SR will still have to open them in front of the RDC but at least will know what is inside.
Good morning! I know I have seen the discussion on this before but I can't find it. What is the proper way to send contacts to my SR for graduation? Does something need to be written on the outside of the envelope since it will be a padded one? Thanks!
Good Morning!
Blessed Sunday!
"Every word of God is flawless;
He is a shield to those those
who take refuge in Him."
Proverbs 30:5
Good Morning and have a wonderful Sunday!
sibehuskyfan,
At this point the troublemakers have been culled out or have got it together!! This happens with every Division~~
mak9kakmom, which division is your daughter in? I've heard from my daughter, a few weeks ago, that some of the girls were being difficult and not following directions well too.
Gals,
Your SRs are in intense training right now earning flags for barracks, academics, drills, etc... You should only be receiving their letters now. Some divisions that are doing extremely well may earn a call just before doing Battlestations~~ Hang in there!!
