for
~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Jennifer: No, I don't believe they are allowed to participate in Captains Cup if they failed their PFA from what others have posted on here in the past (you can check that out on the FIT group on here) There are SRs participating that have not gone through BattleStations yet since their divisions go next week, so don't think that would be it. But since she missed her division's BattleStations because of the PFA, don't think she is allowed to participate. No worries....she will be so excited when she finally becomes a sailor that it won't matter!
wes: I answered your private message....I think it is possible that your SR had "watch" during the division calls and missed them. The other possibility, as you mentioned, is that your SR is having to repeat BattleStations....no worries, they pass the 2nd time if that happened. As long as you haven't gotten a call from your SR earlier this week, saying that they didn't pass their final PFA, then I think all is ok. Hoping you get the call this weekend!
diannep: Thank you very much for all of your support and information. It has been invaluable. Not necessarily panicked, but what are your thoughts if we haven't heard from our 330 SR by now? I understand if there was an issue with BS that they sometimes have to repeat but still typically make PIR.
Good Morning! Captains Cup starting soon for this PIR group. Lots of fun for your SRs/sailors today and much needed! :-) Good Morning! Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh, it shows you have Messages when you see a number: (1), (2), etc. after your Inbox below your name on the upper left side of any N4M page~
Angel7,
First you have to be their Friend. Click on their pic or name, which takes you to their My Page. Click on Add as Friend and you can also send a little message with that request. When they see a (1) after Friends, they'll receive your request and need to read the message before they accept or it will disappear. If you don't add a message, they will just Accept your request. Then you can start private messaging each other using Send a Message on your their My Page.
Greetings!

'to the very end of the age.' "
