Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Comment by diannep on September 22, 2015 at 6:47pm: Also Amy....there is no problem mentioning the week nights that BattleStations will be held (they pretty much go the same week nights from week to week)....just not the specific divisions going through on those nights is not allowed. I know that you were a bit vague in your post, but did mention a division number that would be calling a certain day. That is what we can't have. Please know that we caution all groups with this....just doing what RTC has asked us to do. Sorry if some of you are angry with us over this....we have lots of experience on this site and know the dos and don'ts. We understand that all want to help each other....and that is encouraged....but just post that you have a date for Division ___ and let others friend request/private message you for it please.

So glad you were trying to alleviate concerns, but it is just easy enough for one to look at a calendar and figure out what date is the next Tuesday based on someone's post. If someone really wants to know a specific date, it is best to private message each other then~~ No offense, just training all to be evasive with information regarding our sailors! ((HUGS))

Comment by ellen0502 on September 22, 2015 at 2:20pm: Sorry ladies I just used my "powers" and deleted a bunch of posts. I know you are all getting very excited for what is up and coming in theses next couple of weeks, but PERSEC AND OPSEC still prevail.

Battlestations dates cannot be posted in a public forum, the RTC considers it ship movement. Not only does this mean this site, but it would also mean the FB pages. You can private message dates, but don't post them on this page.

Please also know that those of us here may also have information, by various means. The FB pages are not alone with their "information".

And I know not to posts dates due to safety reasons but the comment saying which nights they go through is unsafe as well.. sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes that was not my intentions
